  • Yoichi Inada

    Managing Director

    Inada joined RECOF in 1994 after engaging in retail sales, human resource management, and corporate coverage in one of the major Japanese securities firms. Over his more than 15 years of experience in the M&A business, he has originated and executed more than 50 deals in industries such as retail, wholesale, trading, food service, and healthcare. He holds an MBA from Dartmouth College.

  • Yasuo Ueda

    Managing Director

    Ueda joined RECOF in 2005 after working in the IPO and underwriting section of a major Japanese securities firm. He also held a position responsible for finance and accounting at a business corporation, mainly taking part in the restructuring and liquidation of businesses. Originally he was engaged in financing and IPOs for financial institutions and business corporations in one of the major Japanese securities firms.
    At RECOF, he has been mainly focused on the deals related to corporate turnarounds and business succession.

  • Katsuhiko Sugiyama

    Managing Director

    Prior to joining RECOF in 1998, Sugiyama was engaged in retail sales and corporate coverage in Japan and Hong Kong at one of the major Japanese securities firms, and he also studied at National Taiwan Normal University.
    He has more than 10 years of M&A business experience, including experience in industry reorganization in the food service industry, transactions in various industries in service sectors, and transactions involving distressed companies.

  • Shigeo Fukushima

    Managing Director

    Prior to joining RECOF in 2008, Fukushima built up and headed an M&A advisory team at a non-Japanese-capital bank. After working in the underwriting and corporate coverage sections of one of the major Japanese securities firms, he took part in private banking at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities and cross-border M&As at ING Securities.

    Out of his 19 years of investment banking experience, he has been engaged in the M&A business for 9 years. He now focuses on the transport, construction, and energy industries.
    He holds an MBA from the MIT management school.

  • Shoji Ogimura

    Director

    Ogimura joined RECOF in 2002 after holding a sales position at a non-Japanese-capital securities firm. He was also engaged in retail sales at one of the major Japanese securities firms, and in the research section of a public office.
    His main focuses at RECOF have been business succession and business turnaround transactions, and the supermarket and regional banking industries.

  • Hironao Sugino

    Director

    Sugino has been engaged in M&A transactions since his joining RECOF in 2000. Over 10 years of his experience, he was involved in the executions of many M&A transactions. He now focuses on IT, information system, telecommunications, internet, contents and service industries.
    He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan. 

  • Yoshinori Seguchi

    Director

    Prior to joining RECOF in 2002, Seguchi was in the M&A advisory section at Lehman Brothers in Japan. Prior to that, he was engaged in the production and sale of structured bonds at one of the major Japanese securities firms. At RECOF, he has extensive experience in advising M&A projects in and outside Japan in the execution section. Since 2008 has been focusing on the chemical sector.
    He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School.

  • Yoshitake Takita

    Director

    Takita has been engaged in M&A transactions since he joined RECOF in 1997.
    Over his 10 years of experience, he was involved in the executions of many M&A transactions including integration of listed companies, acquisitions and disposals of private companies, business succession and corporate turnarounds.

  • Shigeki Maeda

    Director

    Maeda joined RECOF in 2005 after launching a venture business in the energy sector in 2000. He was originally engaged in business and corporate planning at a major retail company and completed large-scale M&A deals and restructuring of affiliated companies.
    He currently focuses on retail, construction, and real estate industries.

  • Tamotsu Majima

    Director

    Prior to joining RECOF in 1998, Majima has been engaged in securities analysis for non-Japanese institutional investors and financing for companies and public entities outside Japan at one of the major Japanese securities firms.
    He has been involved in cross-border M&As for over 10 years at RECOF, with extensive experience in “Out-In” (non-Japanese multinationals buying Japanese companies) and “In-Out” (Japanese companies buying overseas companies) transactions. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France.

  • Haruhiko Mizuno

    Director

    Mizuno joined RECOF in 2000 after engaging in legal services and product development at one of the major Japanese insurance companies.
    At RECOF, he was engaged in corporate turnarounds and executions of M&A transactions in a wide range of industries, including real estate, hotel, food, transportation, food service, and retail. His current main focus is corporate turnarounds.
    He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).

  • Masayuki Moriyama

    Director

    Moriyama has been engaged in M&A transactions since he joined RECOF in 1999. He has an extensive experience including the business integrations of the listed companies, TOBs, business reorganization, capital alliances, business successions of privately-owned companies, etc. in the industries of heavy machinery, electronics, IT, information system and services.

  • Yukihiro Takeda

    Chief Compliance Officer

    Prior to joining RECOF in 1997, Takeda was involved in the underwriting of equity-linked bonds, the listing of Japanese companies on overseas stock exchanges, and the set-up of a finance company at one of the major Japanese securities firms. Takeda rejoined RECOF in 2005 after working for a bank-affiliated securities firm.
    Over his 10 years of involvement in the M&A business, he has garnered broad experience in assisting transaction execution, including TOBs and corporate turnarounds under bankruptcy law.

  • Takayuki Uchibori

    Director

    Uchibori has been engaged in M&A business since his joining RECOF in 1992.
    Over his 15 years of experience, he has been involved in executions of many M&A transactions especially in IT and information system industries as well as advisory assignments on corporate turnarounds.

  • Hideyuki Sawada

    Director

    Sawada joined RECOF in 2005 after working at an economic research institute of one of the major Japanese securities firms, a bank-affiliated research institute and a research dept. of one of the non-Japanese securities firms. At RECOF, he has been engaged in research on M&A trends in various industries and IR consulting. He was a member of the research committee on food companies’ financial trends, a project subsidized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2007, and a member of the sub group of the research committee on M&A led by the Economic and Social Research Institute, Cabinet Office, Government of Japan in 2007.
    He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.

  • Takashi Moriyama

    Director

    Since joining RECOF in 2004, Moriyama has been engaged in the M&A advisory and executions of M&A transactions including advisory assignments in the TOB transactions (sale process, valuation of shares, subject companies’ position statements), the joint venture transactions (execution of shareholders and management agreements), and the corporate turnaround transactions (assistance in preparation of business restructuring plans for review by financial institutions, transfer of subsidiary shares, transfer of business and assets, and capital injection by sponsor).

  • Toshifumi Iwaguchi

    Chief Administrative Officer

    Prior to joining RECOF in 1998, Iwaguchi worked for Boston Consulting Group and one of the major Japanese securities firms. Currently he takes charge of management planning / administration of RECOF Corporation.
    He holds an MBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan Business School.

  • Naoki Yokoyama

    Managing Director

    Prior to joining RECOF in 2004, Yokoyama took part in the establishment of a System Integrator company affiliated with a securities firm. He was also engaged in system development at one of the major Japanese securities firms.
    He takes charge of the management of information system and back office operations at RECOF.
